IN FLIGHT - to Albuquerque, New Mexico (ABQ)
April 13: ALBUQUERQUE - Petroglyph National Monument
Pick-up this morning at Albuquerque International Sunport, and transfer to Petroglyph National Monument. Archaeologists have estimated there may be over 25,000 petroglyph images along the 17 miles of escarpment within the monument boundary. Petroglyphs are rock carvings (rock paintings are called pictographs) made by pecking directly on the rock surface using a stone chisel and a hammer (stone). After some time in the visitor's center, we will walk through the monument. Lunch. This afternoon we continue south to Socorro, where we will visit sites connected to the Lonnie Zamora 1964 UFO sighting. Late afternoon check-in at our hotel and freshen up before dinner. April 14: SOCORRO / SNOWFLAKE - The Travis Walton Story
Breakfast. Hotel check out this morning, and continue west past the tiny hamlet of Magdalena to the National Radio Astronomy Observatory. On our Tour of the Very Large Array (VLA), we will learn how the 27 dish-shaped antennas are spread out across the plains of San Agustin, forming a single gigantic radio telescope. Many people recognize the site from the 1997 movie Contact, starring Jodie Foster. Lunch. This afternoon we continue our journey from New Mexico to Show Low and Snowflake, Arizona. During our drive through the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, we will hear about the Travis Walton story, the basis for the book, Fire in the Sky by Travis Walton. April 15: METEOR CRATER - Preserved Meteorite Impact Site
Breakfast. Morning check-out and continue north through to the Interstate. Continue to Meteor Crater, and learn about the impact of a 50,000-year-old meteorite, and the massive crater it left behind. This best-preserved and first-proven meteorite impact site is nearly a mile across, 2.4 miles in circumference, and over 550 feet deep - as tall as a 60-story building! Lunch. Afternoon transfer west via Flagstaff, and through enchanting Oak Creek Canyon to beautiful Sedona, Arizona. Check-in at our hotel and dinner. Overnight Sedona. (B, D)
April 16: SEDONA - Arizona's Premier UFO Hotspots
Breakfast. Morning Tour of the Sedona area, including plenty of photo stops throughout the surrounding red rock country. Relive the history of Sedona with local guide Tom Dongo, among the world's top UFO and Paranormal Researchers. Visit Sedona's most significant historical locations, and discover the fascinating geology of the Southwest's premiere red rock country. Enjoy a visit to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, and see Bell Rock, Airport Mesa and Cathedral Rock. Lunch. April 17: GRAND CANYON - Full Day at the South Rim
Breakfast. Today, we will visit the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Monument, one of the most amazing places in America. Our main stops will include Desert View, Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station and the Hopi House at Grand Canyon Village. Lunch and afternoon free time on the Grand Canyon South Rim, where you may enjoy the beautiful walk to Lookout Studio and the Kolb Studio. Check-in at our South Rim Hotel in Grand Canyon. Dinner. April 18: KINGMAN - 1953 UFO Crash and Retrieval
Breakfast and free time at Grand Canyon Village this morning for souvenir shopping, hiking or relaxing with the magnificent view. Lunch. Afternoon transfer west to Kingman, Arizona. During the drive, you will hear about one of the best-documented modern UFO sightings, the "Phoenix Lights." Afternoon visit to the alleged 1953 Kingman UFO crash site. Dinner. Overnight Kingman. (B)
April 19: LAS VEGAS - Hoover Dam and Lake Mead
Breakfast. After we check out this morning, we continue north with a stop at the impressive Hoover Dam, where you'll see the second highest bridge in the United States. Continue with lunch en route to Las Vegas. Afternoon Tour of the Las Vegas Strip with a stop at the fascinating Atomic Testing Museum. Check-in at our Las Vegas Hotel and dinner on your own. April 20: AREA 51 - America's Top Secret UFO Base
Breakfast. Full day tour today to Area 51, including stops along Highway 375, the "Extraterrestrial Highway," Black Mailbox of Steve Medlin and the less-visited back gate of Area 51. Continue to Rachel for lunch at the infamous Little A'le'Inn restaurant. Our last stop of the day will be the Area 51 main gate perimeter, where you will see the cammo dudes (Wackenhut security guards) and surveillance equipment.
