The rolling hills of southern France and the majestic lakes of northern Italy are nestled between the last slopes of the breathtaking Alps and the shores of the Mediterranean. Our Riviera and Bavaria Sightseeing Tour begins with a visit to Paris, to take in the famous Capital and cultural "City of Lights." We will spend a day touring the city's main Highlights, such as the Arc de Triumph, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Eiffel Tower. After a relaxing Cruise on the Seine River we will enjoy a show at the famous Moulin Rouge. Then we head south through France for an overnight in Valence near the French Riviera. We will visit the beautiful French Riviera; where we take in the culture, beauty and flair of the most charming beach resort of Monte Carlo and Monaco. Next we spend two days on the Italian "Flower Riviera," the area between Piedmont and Liguria; which is marked by open and varied scenery: rolling hills densely covered with thick chestnut and pine forests. We will have a full day of free time to relax on the beach at Loano. The Tour also includes a day on Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) where we spend a night on the lake near Sirmione. Next we continue with a scenic drive through South Tyrol to southern Bavaria in Germany. We spend three days in the enchanting mountain resort of Berchtesgaden, where we will tour the exciting Salt Mines, nearby Salzburg, Austria and the surrounding alpine countryside. Our last day is in Munich, where we will have a City Sightseeing Tour and special farewell dinner at the famous Hofbräuhaus Beer-hall. October 6: IN FLIGHT October 7: PARIS, FRANCE Arrival this morning at Paris Charles DeGaulle Airport. Meet your Tour Guide and Bus Driver and depart for downtown in our large, comfortable touring motor coach. Lunch. Afternoon Paris Sightseeing Tour including the major city highlights, such as the Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. Transfer to hotel for check in and dinner. Overnight Paris. (B, D) October 8: PARIS, FRANCE Morning free time for optional excursions, shopping or visiting one of the city’s wonderful museums. Lunch on your own. Late afternoon transfer to board our boat. Seine River Cruise in the early evening through Paris. Dinner. Transfer to the famous Moulin Rouge for a traditional Can Can Dance Show. Transfer to hotel. Overnight Paris. (B, D) October 9: VALENCE, FRANCE This morning after breakfast, we continue south through France towards the French Riviera, with some stops along the way. Lunch en route. Late afternoon arrival in Valence for hotel check in and dinner. Overnight Valence area. (B, D) October 10: LOANO, ITALY After breakfast and hotel check out, we continue to our hotel on the beautiful Italian Riviera in Loano. Lunch en route. Afternoon arrival in Loano and hotel check in. Free time before dinner this afternoon. Dinner at hotel. Overnight Loano. (B, D) October 11: LOANO, ITALY Full day to relax on the beach, go shopping or just relax in our beautiful hotel. Dinner on your own tonight. Overnight Loano. (B) October 12: MONTE CARLO, MONACO From Loano, we travel along the enchanting Riviera coastline to nearby Monaco. Morning Tour of Monaco and the enchanting city of Monte Carlo. Lunch. Afternoon free time in Monte Carlo for sightseeing and shopping. Late afternoon transfer back to our hotel in Loano, Italy. Dinner. Overnight Loano. (B, D) October 13: LAKE GARDA, ITALY After breakfast and hotel check out, we transfer north through the majestic Italian countryside to Sirmione on the southern tip of Lago di Garda (Lake Garda). Hotel check in and free time on the lake before dinner. Overnight Lake Garda area. (B, D) October 14: BERCHTESGADEN, GERMANY Today we continue through the alpine region of South Tyrol to Innsbruck, Austria. Lunch. Afternoon transfer to the mountain resort of Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps of Germany. Hotel check in and dinner. Overnight Berchtesgaden. (B, D) October 15: BERCHTESGADEN, GERMANY This morning after breakfast, we have a full day of touring in the Berchtesgaden Valley, including a visit to the Town Center and an exciting Salt Mines Tour. Scenic drive to Lake Hintersee for photos and a stop in Ramsau to see the famous Pfarrkirche (Parish Church). Transfer back to Berchtesgaden. Dinner on your own. Overnight Berchtesgaden. (B) October 16: BERCHTESGADEN, GERMANY After breakfast today we have a visit to the Enzian Schnapps Distillery for a free tasting before continuing to nearby Salzburg, Austria. City Sightseeing Tour of Salzburg, the "City of Mozart" and the Sound of Music. Lunch at the famous St. Peter’s Restaurant in the Benedictine Monastery. Transfer to Berchtesgaden to relax before dinner. Overnight Berchtesgaden. (B, D) October 17: MUNICH, GERMANY Morning transfer to Munich, the Capital of Bavaria. Munich Sightseeing Tour including the Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz, Konigsplatz and the University. Lunch. Afternoon free time in Munich.
