D-Day & Battle of the Bulge:
Bastogne

The fiercest battle of World War II. Our base in the Ardennes region is Bastogne, Belgium; the important crossroads that was held by elements of the 106th and 9th Divisions and 101st Airborne. We’ll spend a full two days traveling as far north as Malmédy, Poteau and St. Vith; to cover sequence of events that marked the beginning of the German offensive. A memorable visit to the Bastogne Historical Center and American Monument at Bastogne (pictured) with afternoon time seeing foxholes in Foy (E-506 PIR Band of Brothers). In Luxembourg, we will take a guided tour of the impressive National Museum of Military History in Diekirch. We’ll also visit the peaceful setting where General Patton is buried, along with so many of the men he commanded, the Luxembourg American Cemetery at Hamm.
