What is "Walk the Dead"?
Walk the Dead is an online travel guide for fans of The Walking Dead, Z Nation, and the zombie genre. Simply put, we support, promote, and market "Walking Dead Tourism" in and around Atlanta, Georgia; Spokane, Washington and across the country. Our website is operated by Alpventures® Tours, a 20-year veteran in the travel industry. We have partnered with the top local Tour Operators and businesses to offer leading travel services at discounted rates.
Who actually runs these Tours?
Our Tours are run by the best operators in the business, and our entertaining Tour Guides have actually worked on set and will give you the inside scoop and exclusive behind-the-scenes stories. Alpventures® Walk the Dead and Atlanta Movie Tours® are not affiliated with the SyFy channel or AMC Network Entertainment LLC (AMCTV), and we are in no way affiliated with any other movie or television production company, their subsidiaries or studios.
Do we see cast members on the Tours?
You never know! Even though current filming for these shows takes place in the areas we feature on our Tours, there is no guarantee you will see cast or crew members. We encourage utmost discretion and respect when it comes to the studio, cast, and crew - we do not want to interfere with their process of creating the show, and we do not like spoilers. We are working on future Tours that will include special guests and speakers, and we will post updates about these exclusive Tours on this website.
Do you visit the actual filming sets?
We only visit places where past filming has taken place - we do not visit current sets and we discourage trying to get close to them. Why? Because the studios have a hard enough time doing their job and keeping it secret - they do not need curious fans to interfere with their production.
Can I see these places on my own?
Of course. Many of the sites we feature on our Zombie Tours are accessible to the public - some are not. If you are planning your own trip to Atlanta, check out the Walking Dead Filming Locations Map which offers a description of various TWD locations. Keep in mind, there's lots to see! The best way to save time and money is to take one of our popular Guided Tours. Let us do the work while you enjoy the sites and entertaining commentary of our expert Guides.
